Chat Roulette Piano Improve is one of the funniest vids I have ever seen on youtube and for his first video he has over 1 million views! That’s utter madness! I hope to see more from this guy in the future.
Was surprised to see a game other then Halo appear on the front page of MLGpro.com with a flashy Pro-Circuit back drop. Can’t wait for this season!

The guys over at Playstation Lifestyle (and arguably one of the BEST PlayStation news sites on the web) have just broke a story regarding the premium service hinted at a recent consumer survey. Should we be expecting big news regarding PlayStation Plus at E3? Only time will tell!
This is Blur, and if you’ve never played Blur then you would think it’s just another racing game but at the 26 second mark, you can see how Blur differentiates itself from other racers of it’s kind.
Enjoy!
Now, before you jump down my neck for making a stupid article title. This is a thread posted by MLG community member “Sportsboy85” where he ask the question if a game like Uncharted 2 can work on the Pro Circuit. If anyone knows me I love PS3 and I would love to see the PS3 get the competitive gaming treatment it deserves. Sadly, while Uncharted 2 may be a superior shooter to say Modern Warfare 2, has won numerous awards, and is still popular online despite facing MAG and the Call of Duty juggernaut MLG won’t take a risk when the Gamebattles community is nothing but a whisper in the wind.
MLG really looks to GB to see what games are hot (as far as shooters go) and if a game can’t even keep 2 consistent season you can kiss those hopes and dreams goodbye. The only reason why Modern Warfare 2 for PS3 is on the Online Circuit is because of it’s popularity. While this isn’t MLG’s fault, have we really come to a time where popularity wins over skilled and fair game play.
Thank Modern Warfare 2
Just posted, via Slasher, on Twitter (if your a gamer and not following him your crazy) the CPL and CAL have posted countdowns on each site! What could this mean? Well the obvious is a relaunching of the league that fathered Professional Gaming and after the demise of the original CPL (via SK Gaming) it’s nice to see a name like the CPL return (hopefully) to glory.
So will the CPL focus on PC gaming only like it has done in the past or will it branch out to the ever-so popular console market? How will CAL play into all of this? Where do babies come from? These are all things we hope are answered 44 days from now.
Stay tuned for more updates as they arise.
Looks like a slimmed down 360 motherboard hit the net just a little while ago! You cna see the original post from Joystiq here.
I’m not at all surprised. With the recent success of the PS3 Slim, it makes sense for the House that Gates built to follow suit.
Now imagine how a slimmed Wii would look? Are CD players still popular?
I’m back and for the time being this is permanent! Until other opportunities go through expect to see a lot of blogging, vlogging, and cellogging (that’s the phone blogs incase you didn’t get that). I want to make one thing clear though, this isn’t a typical video game blog site. In fact I am going to cover anything they way I want to cover it and once I roll out my show you guys will love it. I’m also quite satisfied with the amount of Twitter followers that I have somehow manged to amass in the last few months and I hope to see that total double! Yeah, I said it.
A few quick gaming reminders:
- Perfect Dark came out for the XBLA today and after spending 5 minutes with the game I am just dying to get home and play a heck of a lot more!
- Blur is the best racing game evar!!! Ok maybe not the best ever (GT5 isn’t out yet) but it’s damn good and worthy of my time. If you haven’t check out www.blurgame.com and find out how you can get into the beta today!
- Home is thriving more then ever with a few cool events and with a few good sales be sure to check it out now!
I will do my best to keep the good stuff coming and, of course, have as much fun with this as possible! So be on the lookout for some audio logs (cellogging for the dense) and my vlog in the days to come!
Later.
It’s been sometime but I didn’t want to let this blog die like my others, so I am going to give an update on whats going on:
New start up league called the NVGA has opened it’s doors (their forums) and so far the staff is really looking to make this league big so watch out for that.
BioShock 2 is looking to make some waves in competitive gaming front, but can it really sustain an audience with it’s untested MP? People have been comparing the unique MP to Shadowrun which has a lot of fans from the FASA developed title flocking to BS2. I get my hands on a copy today, impressions will soon follow.
BioShock 2 forum thread on MLGpro.com
Halo: Reach is looking great so far. Considering they are changing things up and implementing hitscan with the new DMR (the BR’s cousin) everything seems positive so far. It seems like Bungie is trying to appeal to the core audience but expect the casual jargon to follow.
MLG announced the Doritos Combine details. Not much is known but it’s going to be an AM only (which people are whining about already) and you have the chance to be evaluated by the Pro (ohmagawd!). Overall, I think this is great. It gives AM players the main stage for a change and fans (as in Pro Fanboy’s) need to see that not everyone wants to be just another face in the crowd. AM’s need a place to shine and the combine looks to be it. As it stands now, it’s just for Halo 3 (crud no Gears 2)
That’s it for now! I will make sure to post often cause I know my fans (all 3 of you) deserve better!
